Local and locale

We follow the sun to the world’s best growing regions so we can bring you fresh, healthy produce every day of the year. We call these special places locales. The French call it terroir. We also encourage you to support your local farmers when their crops are in season. Our motto is, “Buy locally when you can, but buy responsibly always.”

Sustainable farming

We use sustainable growing practices including crop rotation, composting, drip irrigation, water recycling, and integrated pest management. We farm organically whenever possible. We do not use GMOs.

Worker empowerment

We train and empower farm workers so they can increase their productivity, earn higher wages, and achieve their dreams.
