ROASTED BACON BRUSSELS SPROUTS
SIX SERVINGS:
- 32 OZ PACKAGE OF BRUSSELS SPROUTS
- GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE (TO TASTE)
- 2 TBSP OF OLIVE OIL
- BALSAMIC VINEGAR (TO TASTE)
- BREAD CRUMBS (TO TASTE)
- 4 STRIPS OF BACON, CHOPPED
- SALT (TO TASTE)
- PREHEAT OVEN 425°F
1. WASH THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS, THEN CUT THEM INTO HALVES.
2. PUT THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS ONTO A BAKING SHEET, THEN SPRINKLE ON THE SALT AND BREAD CRUMBS AND COVER IT ALL WITH OLIVE OIL AND BALSAMIC VINEGAR.
3. PUT THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS INTO THE PREHEATED OVEN AND LET THEM COOK FOR 35 MINUTES.
4. LIGHTLY FRY (OR SAUTÉ) THE CHOPPED BACON IN A FRYING PAN.
5. AFTER THE 35 MINUTES, ADD THE CHOPPED BACON OVER THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS.
6. PUT THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS BACK INTO THE OVEN FOR 10 MORE MINUTES.
7. CONFIRM THAT THE BALSAMIC VINEGAR HAS CARAMELIZED, THEN TAKE THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS OUT OF THE OVEN.
8. SPRINKLE ON SOME PARMESAN CHEESE.
